The inauguration of this protected structure into a Coffee House & Art Gallery took place on the 20th December 2008. This Welcome Centre off St. Nathy's College was blessed by Bishop Flynn, opened by John O'Mahony GAA County Manager, and Margaret Garvey told the story of the Gate Lodge and history of Cathedral Street as it was in the early 1950s. Families that used to rent the house have since visited their one-time home where parents raised many children and took pride in this 1920s house. It is said that anyone that lived here were very successful in life.

For that home away from home experience with home cooked foods, the fire and newspaper, why not Meet You Here?
