Applications for the
necessary funding were submitted to local and national agencies
but the securing of substantial grant aid from Enterprise Ireland

and the submissions made in respect of it. Ballaghaderreen &
Districts Development wishes to acknowledge the input of Ms.
Ann Flynn, Chief Executive, Roscommon Enterprise Board, Mr.
Victor Andrews of Enterprise Ireland and Mr. James Donlon of

for small and medium sized enterprises in the area, at reasonable
cost. It will provide impetus to start up new businesses and
should also attract external investment into the area. Also,
the project will reinvigorate an area of the town that has
been crying out for development. Mr. McGarry observed that
employment creation in Ballaghaderreen is a central objective
of the local development
